About Our Organic Japanese Matcha
Our JAS Organic Japanese Matcha Collagen is grown in the world-famous region of Uji in the Kyoto prefecture of Japan. Much like wine, artisanal matcha reflects the flavors of the region of where the tea plants are grown. As the birthplace of Matcha, Uji has been at the center of matcha making and the reason why our matcha has the finest taste.
What Is Matcha?
Matcha is a type of green tea that originated in China but was brought over to Japan in the early 1100's and perfected. Unlike any other types of tea, matcha is a finely ground powder made from stone-grinding green tea leaves grown under unique conditions. Brewing matcha involves whisking it into warm water, as opposed to simply steeping. Thus, the entire leaf is consumed, carrying with it a more sophisticated flavor profile as well as greater nutritional properties than any other types of tea. - Whisk or stir thoroughly to dissolve
