Mocha Chocolate Chip Protein Bars!

Did you know that collagen is a type of protein? It is actually the most abundant protein in our bodies! Not only is collagen great for hair, skin, nails, joints, and digestion but it also doubles as a clean, one ingredient protein powder. Did you also know that coffee and chocolate is arguably the best combination of foods on the planet? Well, you are in luck because these mocha chocolate chip protein bars made with Collagen For Her combines the two and it is *fireworks*

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp chocolate protein powder
  • 3 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1/4  cup tahini
  • 1/2 tbsp honey*
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp Collagen For Her
  • 3 tsp espresso powder
  • 1/2 tbsp mini chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, stir together the protein powder, coconut flour, tahini, honey, espresso powder, collagen, and almond milk until thoroughly mixed. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  2. On a piece of parchment or wax paper, shape the dough into a rectangle. Feel free to adjust rectangle to size preference, mine was about 7 by 4.5 inches.
  3. Place shaped dough into freezer for 15-20 minutes or until firm, but not totally set.
  4. Slice the firm dough into 4 bars. Wrap bars in plastic wrap, bags, or store in an airtight container. Keep frozen and thaw just slightly before enjoying!
