Spring is in the air which means it is time for none other than Spring cleaning or our favorite, Spring organizing! Whether it’s underneath your bathroom sink or a pantry that is overflowing, these four steps will help you organize any space no matter how big or small.
1) Pick a space
When we think about organizing our home, it can become very overwhelming which is why we suggest working through one space at a time. It doesn’t even have to be a big space like the garage but something simple like under your bathroom sink. Pick a space that needs help but feels manageable to start.
2) Create piles
Piles are your best friend! If you are organizing your pantry for example, you might have a pile for protein bars, carbs (rice, pasta, oatmeal), and supplements (shoutout to Collagen For Her). Once you have all the items into categories and piles, it is time to start organizing!
3) Storage is your best friend
Once you’ve made piles of all the stuff you want to keep, it is time to organize! If you are looking for some organization inspiration, check out a few of our favorite Instagram accounts like The Home Edit and Life in Jeneral. You can also search home organization inspiration on Pinterest and find a hundred different ways to get your space in order. We love clear stackable containers to make the most out of small spaces and to make sure you know where everything is.
4) Label everything
As you start to put everything in storage containers, labeling is super important! Even when all your items are stored, you want to make sure you are able to find what you’re looking for when you need it or else your organizational method won’t last very long. You can use something fancy like a label maker or use the sticky portion of a post-it.
Stick to these four steps and you’ll feel like you can conquer any space in your home, no matter how messy it is right now!
