Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you strong and beautiful women! Whether you are celebrating with friends or someone special, it is important to always remember to take care of yourself! Often times when we think #treatyoself we envision ordering a pizza and crushing a pint of ice cream in our PJs. While that is one way to treat yourself, it usually results in feeling pretty terrible after (we are guilty of this too!). Cook Yourself a Fancy Dinner
There is something so rewarding about cooking yourself a nice dinner and taking the time to enjoy it! Cook yourself a healthy and nourishing meal, pour yourself a glass of wine, and just relax! We all have Pinterest boards with at least 1,000 recipes that we have been meaning to try but never have. Well, there is no time but the present so make tonight the night!
DIY Spa Night
Every girl needs a spa day every once in a while but we don’t always have the time or money to spend a Saturday at the Four Seasons. Enter DIY Spa Night! Put on your most comfortable pajamas, light a candle, paint your nails, throw on a face mask, and kickback. We also love sipping on some herbal tea (don’t forget the collagen)! It is amazing what a nice relaxing night can do for your mental health! This is also an appropriate time to binge watch your favorite Netflix show if your heart desires ;)
Buy Yourself a Gift
Sometimes we feel guilty spending money on ourselves but every once in a while, you need to show yourself love too! It doesn’t have to be anything big or expensive; try that new workout tank you’ve been eyeing, a new color of nail polish, or your favorite magazine. It isn’t the gift itself that matters, it is recognizing that you work hard and you deserve to do something for yourself. Sometimes a little pick me up goes a long way!
