Why These 10 Pronounceable Ingredients Are All You Need For Glowing Skin!

A few weeks ago we launched our brand new Collagen For Her collagen volcanic mud mask! We pride ourselves on creating products that have minimal and recognizable ingredients, which is why our new mud mask is made with only 10 ingredients that you can actually pronounce! So let’s talk about these ten ingredients and why they are so great for your skin!

  1. Bamboo Charcoal Powder
Charcoal can act as a magnet to pull out dirt, oil, bacteria, and all the other nasty things that get stuck in our skin on a daily basis. Due to these magnetic properties, bamboo charcoal powder is known for being one of the best ingredients for cleansing the skin, eliminating pollutants, and making the pores appear smaller.

  2. Volcanic Clay
Volcanic ash clay is extremely rich in minerals and has antiseptic, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. It is an excellent exfoliator and helps to remove toxins from the skin, which can help revive dull and dry skin and leave your skin looking and feeling rejuvenated.

  3. Organic Green Tea Extract
As you may already know, green tea extract is a powerful antioxidant. In skincare it can also act as an anti-inflammatory agent, which can help soothe the skin and prevent redness. Studies have shown using green tea extract topically can help improve the elasticity of skin, reduce damage caused by sun exposure, and improve skin hydration.

  4. Silk Protein Extract Powder
Silk protein is unique because it has a similar molecular structure to that of the collagen fibers that make up the skin. This powerful protein can help naturally increase the elasticity of skin, prevent wrinkles, and tighten and moisturize the skin.

  5. Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid)
The sodium hyaluronate molecule holds 1,000 times its weight in water, which is why it is such a powerful moisturizer! Since hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the dermis of the skin, products that contain sodium hyaluronate help to replace hyaluronic acid lost as a result of the natural skin aging process and sun exposure. It also helps to hydrate the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  6. Vitamin A
Vitamin A it is best known for its cellular renewal properties that speed up exfoliation to reveal younger, plumper skin cells. Vitamin A can help strengthen the skin’s outer layer to keep it looking firm, stimulate collagen production to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and even out skin tone by fading age and sun spots.

  7. Vitamin E
Vitamin E is another powerful antioxidant that can help remove toxins and other environmental stressors that we are exposed to daily from the skin. Vitamin E also has moisturizing and healing benefits that help to strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and as a result, protect the skin from damage.

  8. Sodium Alginate (Seaweed Extract)
Sodium alginate is naturally derived from brown seaweed and can help the skin retain moisture. It also can help to soften, hydrate, soothe, and leave the skin feeling silky and soft.

  9. Aloe Vera Powder
Aloe vera naturally contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and is highly anti-inflammatory, so it can be extremely beneficial for burns, acne and dry skin. The enzymes in aloe vera powder can also help exfoliate the skin, which will help make the skin smoother.

  10. Collagen Powder
As you know, we always stress the importance of taking a collagen supplement because of its wide variety of benefits for not only skin but hair, nails, joints, digestion, and so much more. While it is super important to replenish your body’s collagen levels by taking an ingestible form of collagen, using collagen products topically can help temporarily improve the appearance of skin and give you that desired glow!

There you have it! Ten natural, recognizable ingredients that have amazing benefits for the skin! Skincare shouldn’t be complicated. Face masks shouldn’t burn your skin. And “clean” skincare products shouldn’t have a million ingredients that you would need a chemistry degree to understand what they are. Learn more about our new Collagen Volcanic Mud Mask here!
